The Conservation and Restoration of a Drawing on Paper

This drawing on paper came to us having suffered from extreme acid exposure. The drawing was not clear and had been folded and torn in may areas. It was extremely fragile.

The Work of Art was lined to Japanese Tissue giving the drawing strength after having been cleaned. The result is a much clearer drawing as it would have previously been. The torn areas were filled and retouched. Finally it was framed in a polished oak moulding.
